It Has Been a While Since I Last Blogged but Upon Discovering this I Rushed to Share: GoldieBlox.11/23/2013

Check out GoldieBlox! As well as GoldieBlox's kickstarter. Ran across a word search generator. This one by Discovery Education was fast and easy. Download the Foundry word search I created bellow.
Common threads in the female experience have always fascinated me. Currently with this project I hope to collect data on a common female practice, putting on a bra. I am hoping that perhaps trends will be apparent after I have collected a substantial amount of surveys. With a lot of cutting and a little bit of gluing. I am all set! First install of the survey will be at SJSU Foundry and will remain there for a week. The following week I plan to either take it to the Art building or Industrial Studies building. Clips! Thank you and looking forward to your participation!
Came across this on BBC's website under their British History tab. Test your knowledge of Women's rights starting during Queen Victoria's rein. Aside from the bars coming down too quickly and not being able to read the explanation for the answers, this is a pretty cute and quirky way of presenting a handful of important topics in Women's Liberation. And if this game has gotten you interested about Women's Rights, fast forward a hundred or so years, and see what has or not has changed. The latest podcast from BBC's Woman's Hour talks about the 40th Anniversary of the first UK Women's Liberation Conference. The conference is seen as a "pivotal moment in the growth of the Women’s Liberation Movement and it produced four key demands including equal pay, equal education and job opportunities, free contraception and abortion on demand, and 24-hour nurseries." |
