Recap of Friday class at the foundry.

2/3/2013

Wasn't able to recap Friday before going on Art Crawl.
But Friday was definitely an eventful day. I am really enjoying the class. And being at the foundry this much this semester is giving me so much experience with pouring metal already.

Presents! Who doesn't like comics?

Did it right this time and did not forget my work boots. They were a hand me down from my dad, he had bought them long ago and forgot about them. Love these things even though they are a little big. Better than borrowing foundry shoes.

Then afterwards another aluminum pour into a few green sand molds.

Spilt aluminum.

Trying to cast a girl's plastic toy tea set. This is the saucer and the spoon. Still having a little trouble with my mold. Got a bit closer this time. One more go and I think I will have it down.
