And kept catching this commercial. Definitely can say Princesses have made leaps and bounds since I was a girl. And it is honestly hard to see OG Princess like Ariel and Cinderella mixed in with the new bad ass Princess crew of today.
But I guess when I really think about it, the damsels in distress of yester years as foolish as we can say they were, I felt like within their narrative they sort of learned from all their wavering about boys. To bad it feels like a direct parallel to how girls learn irl. Which begs me to research the women who worked during those years of production, the ladies who worked on The Little Mermaid or Snow White. Subversion? Coincidence? Or am I just being too optimistic?
