Congrats to my colleagues for getting into the show. Looking forward to an evening of fun. See y'all Thursday!!
The new equipment is hooked up and ready to go. Today's demonstration broke in a couple of the foundry's new toys. Foundry Technician, Steve Davis leading demonstration on some of the cold fabrication equipment in the shop. Steve is showing students in Art 68, Beginning Sculpture the shop's new combo sander. Professor Shannon Wright demonstrating how to use the foundry's new table saw. Stop Saw! Or how we prefer to it on class as the Hotdog Saw. Got my foot back from the alginate mold demonstration from last week in Systems and Structures. Super weird seeing my foot this way. Definitely interesting the amount of detail it picks up. Headed to Herbert Sanders to check out Six. Think my pocket knives looked awesome. Thank you again Elizabeth Torrance and Chrysta Giffen for putting up an amazing show. Fellow graduate students Elizabeth Torrance and Chrysta Giffen have curated a show of works under 6 inches. Reception for Six is tomorrow! Tuesday February 5th 6:00PM to 8:00PM Herbert Sanders Gallery San Jose State University Industrial Studies Building If you are around, please stop by! Very excited to see how the ladies have presented such a diverse group of artists in one show.
